Relationship of Health-care Interest and Health-care Welfare Service Satisfaction of Korean Seniors Participating in Physical Activity

Abstract

According to 2018 statistics in Korea, the over 65 middle class population will be 15,492 in 2020. Korean life expectancy will be 83.2 in 2020 to 85.2 in 2030. Korean senior health-care interest is rising and physical activity participating for healthy aging. This study provides data about the senior healthy aging by predicting variable as health-care interest and satisfaction of health care welfare service. Subjects were individuals who participate in a public community center, senior school, and senior welfare center. Gender, age, educational background, household composition, and marriage were analyzed by Chi-square test. Cronbach α, EFA, Pearson r, and regression analysis were used. Age difference was χ2=9.632, df=3, p=.022. Household composition was χ2=3.585, df=1, p=.042(p<.05, significantly). Odds ratio appeared in male 1.05, marriage 1.86, and household .56. Regression analysis result showed R2=.176, β=.419, t = .197, p=.001. In conclusion, health-care interest is a predictable variable of health-care welfare service satisfaction with 17.6%. Korean senior physical activity will be perceived and promoted in social service programs.
