Abstract
It is well known that translation is key when it comes to communicating, since it is about breaking language barriers. Thus, translation provides an alternative codification for making communication possible, regardless whether it is about a specialized or non-specialized discourse and, above all, despite the disciple and languages in question. Hence, in this discussion, we consider if it is fair to say that translation is the practice as well as the field of study that may be the crossroad between Humanities, Science and Social Science, as it is where experts surpass their original humanistic field of study to let all the mentioned disciplines converge under the same goal: going beyond words.
