Humanities in Pandemic Times Covid19: History Methodology Teaching by Blog

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to present the experience of the use of new technologies in education made by the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), in Brazil, following the example of the creation of the TecnoHistory Blog that, at the outbreak of Covid19, organized the free short course and online “Humanities in Pandemic Times”, with classes in podcasts and PDF brochures. There were over 1,000 views in the subscription interface, with over 300 views on each day of lesson content posting. The interaction took place through the comments during the month of May 2020. It is understood that keeping students in digital connection with today’s history requires a quick, low-cost, and easy-to-use response.
