Abstract

For decades, the main research focus in Europe was based on science, technology, and engineering, while research in social science and humanities was not considered indispensable to the society’s growth. In 2020, on the contrary, European research policy and projects are more forward looking, indeed, social sciences and humanities are integrated and play a fundamental role in research development. The main focus of my research considers these issues and tries to answer very specific questions: how do the social science and humanities integrated approach improve communication and make a contribution to achieving dialogue between various communities, identities, locals, and diaspora? The particular focus is set on Iraq in modern time.
