Migration Needs of People in the Three Southern Border Provinces to Other Areas in Thailand Due to Unrest

Abstract

The problem of unrest in the southern border provinces of Thailand is considered an important national security problem. It is one of the problems that have been set to be the urgent government policy of many past series. However, it is a delicate problem, complexity, and a chronic problem that continues to be violent until the present causing problem to be solved with difficulty and there is no way to stop easily. It affects national security, causes a lot of loss of life and property, and causes many people in the three southern border provinces of Thailand need to move to other areas in the country where they are able to live happily. However, not all people who suffer from the unrest situation will be able to relocate to their desires. This is because there are various factors involved. This research studies the migration needs of the people in the three southern border provinces to other areas of Thailand due to unrest. The results are useful to relevant agencies to be able to prepare to cope with the migration of people in the three southern border provinces to other areas of Thailand. Migration affects economic and social development, both in the area of migration and destination areas that have been migrated. Therefore, government agencies should prepare measures for management with this complex problem promptly and appropriately.
