An Overview of the Effects of Zikrullah on Human Brain Functions

Abstract

Zikrullah is known as one of importance ways in Islam to worship of Allah. The Allah’s name is mentioned repeatedly either voiceless or soundly. Its effect is apparent in Islamic peoples which it gives positive effects on physical and spiritual life. Knowing its advantages, zikrullah has become a great of interest to discover since there is no literature ever reporting its relationship with the human brain functions. In the Qur’an, Allah’s name is mentioned as many as 2,696 times, an indicator of the wisdom in the Allah’s name. Zikrullah generated soundly can be a practical solution for managing disorders of the brain waves. In the brain there is a frequency following responses, the brain tends to adjust its frequency to the stimulus frequency of the sound received. It was found the scientific explanation about the relationship between zikrullah and the frequency of brain waves, mental therapy, and the environment. This paper provides an overview of the effects of sound wave on human brain functions as well as the science related to zikrullah.
