Benefits of Teaching a Dramatic Text Utilizing Multiple Approaches

Abstract

This study explores the relevance of using multiple approaches to teach a dramatic text to English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners and view its impact on developing their literary competence. Indeed, it tempts to demonstrate the practical handling of dramatic reading and acting by transposing a dramatic text on stage in class. For getting a clear understanding of the impact of dramatic text teaching through multiple approaches, we tempt to describe the extent to which the different activities implemented through those approaches can be effective in developing learners’ literary competence. Thus, it has been investigated throughout this study that there might be good responses from learners regarding the use of more interactive approaches to learn dramatic texts effectively in class.
