Cross-Disciplinary to Multidisciplinary Studies : How the Interactive Fits Into Humanities Education

Abstract

Cross-disciplinary, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary are terms becoming more and more commonly used in academic collaboration. As technology grows and usage between academic areas blur, how can interactive collaboration help establish role and identity? The “interactive” can be seen in communication between humans, usage of technology, and how those interactions fit into humanities education. This paper explores the dilemma between academic areas and the relationships of interactive collaboration.
