Abstract
Your body is a direct expression of who you are. Mind-body wellness techniques can be a form of education, not intervention, as well as self directed ways to approach health and fitness. Our body is a learning tool, a transportation vehicle. A healthy, fit body gives us the opportunity to explore and enjoy the world. This workshop will provide techniques, physical/mental health goals, and lifestyle goals. The techniques will include right/left brain activities constructed in various positions and comfort levels of sitting, standing, walking, and moving in place; verbal prompts to power the mind up and bring attention to one’s health through short/informal/personal writing activities; and mindful activities for breath control, stress release, and lowering blood pressure, thus aiding in the efficiency of an individual’s work day in any profession.
