Abstract
Under the context of COVID-19, industries and social services are forced to be stagnated. Immediately, online communication technologies are advanced, then people’s life transforms to cyberspace. However, numerous manufacturing still relies on a practical operation, such as design. This workshop takes design education as a perspective to inquire about the current education model, distance learning, which aims to suggest a more adaptive system to conduct design and design education. During the quarantine time, the community can be regarded as an independent unit to keep it exclusive from the outer world, this will provide a safe environment for living and learning. In the light of the education and epidemic control requirement, this workshop intends to create a maker space prototype which locates in the community. Based on the SBAC Hub concept, there are four phases to establish the prototype. Firstly, the lecturer will introduce the context and the principle of this co-design activity. Then, participants will be asked to divide the functional area on the given base. Next, an offering map will be given to participants and let them choose tools to build each area. Lastly, every member will be invited to introduce their proposal. The outcome of this workshop is to supplement scholastic education, it can also be an inspiration for micro-generation toward a resilient community.
