Abstract
Research plays an important role for industrial designers to estimate the potential of market, technology, and users expectations. Experimental design research as an empirical and quantitative way of validating hypothesis and product development is an easy approach for achieving reliable results. Using interventional groups and control groups lead to find testing outcome to establish cause- effect relationship and finding new opportunities and innovations through industrial development and changes in current situation to propose frontier products, solutions, and services. In this study, experimental research design history, factors, types, and applications in industrial design are discussed.
