Abstract
India is one of the world’s largest producer of rice in which Assam plays an important role. Due to environmental suitability and eating habits, paddy cultivation is the primary demand over all other crops in Assam. It contributes around 96% of the total food grain production in Assam. This becomes possible due to the hard work of the farmers. But the majority of farmers are lacking in farming education and technical resources to modernize their paddy cultivation process due to which they used to face problems in various phases of cultivation. To address such issues nowadays various educational information have been provided to farmers by government agencies in the form of digital content which could be accessed through mobile phones easily. These e-learning contents prove to be very effective in educating farmers in their agricultural ventures. But there is very little e-learning information specifically designed for the farmers of Assam and its agricultural environment available online. Hence an exploration has been tried out to design e-learning contents for the paddy cultivation process in Assam which will educate the farmers in all stages of farming. The exploration attempts to cover all possible necessities of paddy cultivation process in Assam in a customized way that may help the farmers by providing in-depth information with just a click on their mobile phones. The experiment further tries to expand its scope by connecting all the farmers with government-sponsored schemes and funding for agriculture sector in the simplest way possible through e-learning app design.
