Imaginary Friends on the Screen: Playing on Digital Screens in Everyday Spaces

Abstract

For infants and toddlers, imaginary play is like having a leisurely and happily shopping at the mart we enjoy. Imagination play is a process of developing a creative world by mobilizing everything from their experiences and learning to children, just as they imagine recipes and put ingredients for cooking. This research study considers the creation of a digital play zone that allows kids immersed in mobile culture to play imaginary games and empathize with them in everyday life.
