“Is there a tradition in Latin design research? Ten years of scientific networking between Europe and Latin America”


Flaviano Celaschi is a full professor in processes design at Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna. He has taught as a visiting professor or keynote speaker at Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino and twenty other international universities. He founded and coordinates the Advanced Design Unit of the DA department.


Elena Formia is Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture of the Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna, where she is Director of the First Cycle Degree in Industrial Design and the Second Cycle Degree in Advanced Design. Her main research topics are advanced design and future-focused processes, design education and the relationship between design sciences and humanistic knowledge.
