The Protagonism of the Objects: Objects Increasingly Subjects

Abstract

The study is about the protagonism of the objects starting from the French sociologist Michel Maffessoli’s research in his essay “The object subjective. Or crystallized world” (1994). In the article it is addressed an historic excursus about industrial design evolution inside the Bauhaus until today related to object’s aesthetic and functionality in the transition from era of mechanization to the electronic age. In summary, the design objects, which initially contributed to the “capitalization of the world”, to swell the producers capital, now I argue “capitalize themselves”.
