Visual Democracy in Art and Design Education : Frame of Tendencies, Policy, Society, and Knowledge

Abstract

Education as a component of a social system has a strong frame of tendencies, policy, society, knowledge. Each component has special characteristics, correct and incorrect. Correct is: moral behaviour, formality, normality, right action/decision. Incorrect is: immoral behaviour, informality, abnormality. Visual democracy gives harmony and balance between two sides of defined principles in education. The most important is to maintain the balance of all components. Visual identity can correct moral behaviour and build society. The role of aesthetics is the most important part of education. I have used qualitative research in this systematic research activity. I define the meaning, feeling, and describe the situation in art/design education. Based on the literature analysis and logical outcomes I have selected the main principles of visual democracy and visual identity that should be considered.
