Abstract
Throughout last twenty years, lighting technologies have been constantly developing and the industry brings to the market more and more solutions for light sources and applications which are integrated into real estate and urban projects that affect its visual environment and humans. Lighting is becoming a tangible part of economic value and qualitative component of real estate and urban projects. The aim of the paper is to summarize different practices in related fields and to investigate the perspective of adoption of legislation for the lighting planing in urban environments and public places through the ensuring professional service of lighting design.
