Abstract
Design education reflects the needs and demands of the society that produces creative, innovative, and responsible professionals. This particular subject is multidisciplinary comprising of cultural, social, political, technological, and ecological aspects creating the purpose built environment. This paper is focused on comparative analysis of design education practices with reference to Pakistan. Different schools of design were selected and quantitative survey was carried out for comparative analysis to identify the gaps in the syllabus. The lack of futuristic approach in design studios needs to be addressed appropriately. The identification of future trends and their incorporation in the present syllabus is necessary for equipping the students for the modern world.
