Co-production Teatime: A Prototype to Support Inquiry Processes in co-production

Abstract

Co-production Teatime is a prototype developed to support inquiry processes in co-production– the close collaboration and co-creation of knowledge between academic researchers and students and partners from industry and municipalities. In an attempt to bridge gaps between stakeholders with different interests, expectations and knowledge horizons, the teatime explores dialogue-based inquiry through visual, tangible, and creative tools. Through odd experiences and anomalous objects, the teatime provokes playful interactions among participants. This aims to encourage the sharing of diverse perspectives and to deepen an understanding for ways of co-producing. This teatime is developed for students, researchers, and partners of a university. This aims to assist inter-sectorial collaborations and to develop competencies for these types of collaborations. The presentation discusses the development of this tool in relation to my PhD project and two initial workshops done with students and researchers at an academic conference.
