Participatory Design in the Urban Public Space

Abstract

A multiple case study showed that the emergence and popularity of active participatory design in guidance system, derived that guidance system has the potential to focus on solving the guiding issues and guiding people to actively participate in it. The urban public space of participatory design is based on the theory of participatory development in anthropology and the theory of Ajzen and Fishbein’s ‘Reasoned Action’. This work led to an ultimate realization about an advanced relationship between people, information, and environment - and improving the utilization of guidance information.
