Abstract
This paper showcases an ongoing public space project along the River Ganges in northern India. This work spans five years. As the project architect and urban designer, I was involved from the conception through completion of the project. In this study, I review the process and the work and discuss the importance of public spaces in developing the economy of a country, such as India, that is going though a development frenzy. The study considers best practices in navigating mega-project and small-scale urbanism approaches.
