Abstract

There is a community-based environmental improvement program in Tulusrejo Sub-district. To support the success of the program, it is necessary to see the community attachment. It will be analyzed with Social Network Analysis. The results of this analysis are about the rate of participation, density, and centrality. The study will give a social network in that area, so it can show the closeness among the resident. After knowing the closeness group, then the study will analyze the perception of urban settlement among them. The variables of this perception are personal, social, and environmental. The study will be analyzed by multidimensional scaling, so it can show the similarity of perception. The result can be input in the implementation of the program. It can be a capital for the government to approach the community before implementing a community-based program. So that the program can run smoothly and suitable with community expectations.
