Development of the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit Evidence Locator System

Abstract

The study envisions extending the value of the information provided by the developed system to forensic unit of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office for purposes of evidence monitoring, tracking, and preservation. It identified the features in the development of the evidence locator system through Focal Group Discussion (FGD) and for the level of acceptability of the system utilized by the U.S.E. Tools. Mixed method approaches were utilized to make the study comprehensively to maintain accurate and error-free records of where the evidence is located in following the status of the evidence. The result of the study was able to develop the following: (1) User-Friendly Interface making it simpler to navigate and comprehend; (2) System User Accounts that has capability and limitation in accessing the system; (3) Enrolment, Modification and Delete Evidence Interface which allows to track the evidence location and status; and (4) Monthly Report Generation, which standardizes the evidence report system for each department.
