Abstract
Utilizing digital technologies to collaborate between American and Chinese college classrooms is the focus of this session which will summarize two rounds of Collaborative Online Internationalized Learning (COIL) in a public speaking class based in the U.S. with an educational pedagogy class at a Chinese university, including the best teaching practices incorporated in this collaboration, strategies for utilizing free digital technologies for communication, as well as pre- and post-tests which determined if the intercultural communication competence of participants improved.
