International Development Cooperation for Sustainable Development Goals: Approaches to Strategies Implemented by Latin American Countries

Abstract

The concept of cooperation refers to the idea of acting in coordination with others to achieve an objective. The 2000 Millennium Summit started the process of defining global development goals. This intention was ratified in 2015 with the approval of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals. The objective of this study is to examine how Latin American countries on the OECD (Chile, Mexico and Colombia) adjusted to these commitments. It achieves this through analysis of two specific processes: (i) the strengthening of international cooperation and (ii) the internal institutional reinforcement.
