Economies and Trade of Developing Courtries of Africa: A Paradigm Shift

Abstract

Every country the world over has natural resources for which they are known. This is not determined by the country’s population, size, or location. These resources form the primary and basic ground of relationships and interactions with the rest of the world. Back home in Africa, almost, if not all of the countries are endowed with one natural resource or the other. It is expedient to mention that a few of the rich natural resources the continent of Africa are endowed with as Diamond, Gold, Crude. Rivers have formed the gamut of trade relationships with other people. This research explores the neglect of Africa’s rich mineral and natural resources as a result of ignorance and other negative factors. Various research techniques were adopted for the study and a few theories incorporated to make the work concrete. The work concludes with scholars encouraging Africans to develop their own economies and more greatly appreciate their naturally gifted resources.
