Exploring the Intercultural Communicative Experiences and Perspectives of International Students: Empirical Studies in Hong Kong and Canada

Abstract

This is a narrative inquiry of the intercultural communicative experiences of international students at universities in Hong Kong with the use of co-cultural theory and critical race theory. To a certain extent, this study compares the students in Hong Kong with university students in Canada. The in-depth individual interviews were used to explore the complexity and details of students’ experiences and perspectives towards the majority.
