Recalling the Status of Women: The Pre-historical Era with the Special Context of Eurasia (10,000 BCE)

Abstract

Our world has different regimes in its historical context, especially in the Eurasian communities of 1000 BC that has four different societies. The first society was known as hunting and gathering society, the second was a pastoral society, the third were villagers, and the last were urban dwellers. All of these societies had different values, norms and traditions in their lives. Recalling the status of women in these societies, we can see how in every society of that time women had a very strong status associated with a supernatural belief system. In some societies women were called goddess. Woman was a symbol of Matrilocal communities and enjoyed the leadership of the tribe. This paper consists of historical content analysis about women’s status in prehistorical times.
