Socio-construct Diversity Framework: Rethinking Organisational Behaviour

Abstract

Organizational behavior (OB) is an important aspect of management since it determines the performance of organizations. Effective interaction of the four elements (people, structure, technology, and the external environment) of organizational behavior drive efficiency, productivity and competitive advantage in organizations. The evolution of societies usually dictates the performance of organizations and requires dynamic strategies in managing organizational behavior. A notable aspect of the dynamics in societies is diversity. Subsequently, integration of socio-construct diversity framework (SCDF) in the process may positively impact organizational behavior. In this regard, this paper highlights the importance of SCDF in organizational behavior strategies to reflect societal changes and how it promotes performance of organizations. Further, an in-depth literature review is employed to illustrate the interplay of OB and SCDF.
