Building Workplaces Where People Want to Work: Making Difference Count

Abstract

In 2016 a team of Organisational Psychologists and Diversity and Inclusion experts set out to solve a problem; how to measure workplace culture, diversity and inclusion using science and technology. After four years in R&D at Dublin City University, Ireland - backed by Enterprise Ireland - the team spun-out inclusio in 2020. inclusio is a science-based, data-led diversity and inclusion platform, designed to measure and enhance individual sense of belonging within organisations. inclusio’s mission is to ‘Make Difference Count’ by embracing demands of future generations and setting new industry benchmarks. inclusio collaborates with academic experts in many universities globally, using their scientific insights to advance the world of research in organisational psychology, focusing on areas such as, Neurodiversity, Inclusion, Psychological Safety and Trust. Local context and cultural nuances make it difficult for global companies to implement meaningful diversity and inclusion programmes and initiatives regionally. The complexity of GDPR and local data privacy laws makes it difficult for organisations to comply with legislation on equality monitoring and reporting. Employees expect employers to value their difference, provide psychologically safe workplaces, where their rights are protected. inclusio provides a safe and confidential way for employees to be part of the change they want to see in their organisations by combining technology, psychology and AI, to help organisations chart and track a path for culture change.
