Abstract
Diversity is more than numeric representation and inclusion is more than a buzz word, yet how can you demonstrate to the CEO or board of directors that more diversity is needed? As a new diversity officer for any institution, a needs assessment is your friend. It establishes a baseline for growth while identifying current trends and gaps, but what is done with the information? This presentation goes beyond just the numbers to evaluating what the numbers mean. This includes creating an action plan to drive inclusive hiring practices and retention.
