Abstract
This study explores how eight community organizations, with a vested interest in the early childhood education of children living within their service neighborhoods, became collaborative partners with a shared vision. Through the lenses of indigenous leadership, Dr. Nkechy Ekere Ezeh, Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education and CEO Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative, discusses the strategies employed and lessons learned when voices from the neighborhood challenge the status quo and existing large community systems.
