Globalization increases the awareness of societies across the globe in an effort to impact factors such as politics and culture. When this concept is applied to education, we experience the influx of international students matriculating in our educational systems both at the graduate and undergraduate level. In this study, the authors provide a detailed analysis of the types of online learning platforms that currently exist, the benefits of globalization in graduate education will also be reviewed in greater details. Consequently, the authors intent is to start a dialogue that will change the narrative on the integration of international students in graduate programs.
