Being a coordinator/partner of several international and national research projects, he is author/coauthor of over 300 papers published by international peer-reviewed journals, and editor and coauthor of two books (with an h-index of 50, according to SCOPUS). He developed highly interdisciplinary research using methodological approaches and tools borrowed from chemistry, ecology, and environmental science. His current research subjects include development and application of environmental risk assessment procedures; risk-based decision support systems addressing climate change and sustainability; and environmental behavior of priority and emerging chemical contaminants, including the effect of climate change.
