Design for Social Impacts: Design Influences Positive Social Changes

Abstract

This poster session focuses on conceptual design, communication and problem-solving in transit design challenges. How conceptual and sustainable design responds to the needs, solves problems, and transits the temporality from one to the other while the design still serves its role in life. It is serious yet fun, like playing a magic cube. Most importantly, be creative! We need to be more open-minded in exploring ideas and solutions, and be ready to share those with the communities. The research and experience will manifest a series of artworks entitled Crossroads of Cultures, with the theme of cultural diversity. My artworks resonate, transcending borders with a thought-provoking impact. I experimentally explore artistic metaphors, emerging media, and techniques to convey deeper meanings in layers. We collectively witness the ever-evolving tapestry of our global society and the threads that interweave and connect us. This project celebrates the interconnected world we live in by investigating the cultural crossroads of history, art, and experience.
