Abstract

This presentation is a summary of a case study on logistic education. In Summer 2022, the presenters taught logistic courses online to business students at a university in Nanjing, China. There are some benefits and challenges for this online teaching and learning experience. The major benefits were that the professors used instructional technology such as video case studies and open sources materials to enhance students’ engagement with online chat and group discussion on the course materials. The professors did not have to travel abroad during the pandemic. Students received enhanced education from the strategy which allowed them to have an opportunity to see the world from a global point of view. After the class, the students could review the lessons from the course recordings. The major challenges were internet connection and who had hosting control over the course meeting. Professors need hosting control to maintain the class focus. They utilized the course materials to meet the course length.
