Credencial Historia Magazine in Colombia - Three Decades of Interdisciplinary Work: A Love Story for Research, History, and Art

Abstract

Revista Credencial Historia is an editorial project created by editor Camilo Calderón Schrader in 1989. This magazine opened the space for New History in Colombia and the authors of this paper worked in different stages as authors and graphic researchers. This paper explores how this magazine contributed to the field of historians and the Colombian publishing world over the last thirty years. The dissertation shares the story narrated from different editors of the magazine, its editorial products, and the linking of hundreds of authors who managed to conform the most systematic and academic historical research project carried out in Colombia in recent years. We consider ideas, guidelines, and anecdotes narrated by two historians linked to the project.
