Abstract
Having gathered a lot of images from events that took place in 1968, that seem to be mirrored in 2018 for my course The Ethics of Representation: ALL MY RELATIONS, I would like to create a video loop, which incorporates the music and some of the most important recorded speeches of this time period, creating a kind of hinge points medley cross-cutting these tsunamis of activism. This short video could be shown in the concourse space, between talks or as a stimulus for workshop(s) on revolutions, the role of art in activism, and the reasons behind a socially engaged practice. The work would squarely fall under the heading of a mapping of the key questions and concerns for arts in society.
