Balance to Finding Happy through Art

Abstract

It is argued that school’s paramount goal should only be about learning and education. It is pivotal for children to see how their unique identities align amidst the complex and sometimes precarious school setting. Ultimately, students need to learn how to believe in themselves and create purpose in their lives. If well-being is fostered in kids at a young age, then it is more likely to play a part in their life as they get older and mature. This nomenclature of well-being came into the forefront of our consciousness not too long ago in the aftermath of World War II. When discussing the school system, the concept of well-being may have not been implemented well into the curriculum. Therefore, this approach is fostered in the arts. This interactive books takes kids through an exploratory journey to connect to each of the 8 concepts through drawing, singing, dancing, and acting. All in the purpose of giving them the accountability to honor if they, in fact, possess the 8 components of Well Being. The purpose is to stimulate a foundation for a student to continue to develop this knowledge throughout their life.
