Abstract
The Study of Children’s Theatre and Theatre for Young Adult (TYA) in tertiary institutions of learning in Nigeria is sometimes seen by students as a make-up course to fulfill credit requirement for a university degree. Whereas, the actual experience, re-ground both the student-facilitators (who themselves are young adults) as well as children, in a comprehensive dramatic experience that enlightens them in various areas of life as well as guide them to achieve help, and healing/therapy from various vices associated with children. This discourse, examines the systematic level of change through regular exposure and participation in Children’s Theatre Projects. The above is a testimony from parents of children participant, and students’ facilitators indicating a landmark achievement through direct involvement with children over the years in the Redeemer’s University Theatre Arts projects.
