WEEK 1 - ASSIGNMENT

Task 1. Flag all the suspicious values. (Outliers, repetitions, etc.) (spend max 15 minutes)

task 1

Task 2. Review the national and subnational coverage for MR1. Your data manager produces the following tables. What can you conclude from the administrative data?

Data of February & march are repetitive except one district
In the month of May, the data of district 4 shows the drastic increase in the number of beneficiary i.e from 711 to 9008 (March 7 April)
District 12 & 13 shows the declining trend as compared with April & May.
There is remarkable fall in the number of beneficiary of District 1, 1 and 12 as compare to August and September.
As compare to the data of November and December of district 3, the coverage is increased, which was out of running trend.
10 Districts out of 16 Districts have the coverage more than 100%

It indicates that there is data entry error as well as no corrective action taken even if coverage is seen more than expectation.

Task 3. Review coverage evaluation survey data. You remember that in 2013, there was a coverage evaluation survey. You pull up the data for that. Does this change your view about coverage at national level? For any of the regions?

After reviewing the coverage evaluation, there is no change from my point of view at the Natiional level and Regional level.

Following are the reasons.

There is data issue in the Grandtown , because yearly coverage is >100% (from 2011 to 2017). The regions Nemo, Chello, Grandtan and Westtan were not showing the improvement in their coverage.
The entered data is not realiable

Task 4. Review the chart with the age distribution of measles cases. Does that tell you anything additional about coverage?

38% of the Children of age 20 months have missed to be vaccinate with the second dose of MR as it was introduced in the last year. Whereas the small children have been benefited with the second dose of MR.

Task 5. Brief the Minister (spend max 1/2 hour on this section). Summarize the situation in three bullet points.
