    I am currently a PhD candidate in Media Psychology and will complete my program with distinction. My dissertation topic is "Media Representations of Black Women in Primetime: Progress, Regression or the Status Quo". I have received a number of scholarships and grants to support my research. I am a Fellow of the Marie Fielder Center for Democracy, Leadership and Education.
