Katrina McNab graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Education (Honours) and a passion for early childhood literacy. Her honours research project, titled Home reading programme: Friend or foe, investigated parents perceptions of the school mandated home reading programme. Katrina's interest in the areas of home-school partnerships and home reading programmes intensified during her time as a Kindergarten teacher. In 2011, she returned to the University of Tasmania as a PhD candidate to investigate the effects of a 1:1 iPad initiative on home-school partnerships and early literacy development. Katrina's interests include reading, digital literacies, 1:1 technology initiatives, addressing the digital divide, and home-school partnerships.
