Multiliteracies pedagogy in senior secondary contexts challenges many student and teacher expectations about how and what  senior English students should produce, particular when students are faced with hand-written examinations. Many expectations centre around handwritten texts like essay writing, which are constructed in response to literary texts. But collaborative learning, through multiple modes and technologies affords students more global opportunities for expression and opinion.
