Indonesia Backpack Project’s Updates

Intercultural Communication

"I noticed almost immediately how much students seemed genuinely ecstatic about meeting people from different backgrounds. In truth, children benefit from interactions with those outside of their comfort zone. This encourages better understanding down the line of things which may be foreign and strange to them. By being able to directly interact with both students and teachers from such a drastically different background, both my experience and those of the people at SMAK were enhanced."
