Introducing a ubiquitous learning concept- Algorithm based Teaching

Ubiquitous learning- Blended learning with Algorithm method of teaching

In our School, we follow blended learning approach where half the students are in school face to face and the remianing half of students are in online. all students join in a common online classroom developed by school. The online platform is like a social media platform where students can join and interact, post their update, make small groups and interact with teachers. Teachers use online assesment tools whre they can interact and give feedback one to one.

One of the Ubiquitious learning method which we are using is algorithamic or flow chart method. In this teacher made the lesson ain a flow chart method using a designer software and share with students.

Algorithm format of lesson

Students are given step wise fromat they need to follow with lesson objective and outcome. There are parellel branches of videos, write ups, simulations and students can chose as per their learning style. there are online assessment in between and as per the results students can move to further steps or move back to the same branch to a different tasks to concrete the concept. Teacher can monitor each students progress and give necessary feedback. There is no restriction of time or space.

The assessments are auto graded and students can see their progress and can move back to the flowchart to follow the instructions.
