New Learning MOOC’s Updates

IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON EDUCATION #Peer reviewed update#1

Recently, I was reading this article ( https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/04/coronavirus-education-global-covid19-online-digital-learning/) on Education and how COVID 19 pandemic has affected our education system and it's delivery to students. Furthermore, I have identified few points listed below:

  • A sudden paradigm shift from offline teaching learning to online mode.
  • Technology and other multimedia approaches have entered in our education content delivery which in turn making teaching learning process engaging, interesting and easily accessible for students.
  • Education administration and management has improved drastically as LMS entered not only in urban areas but in remote institutions also.
  • Child can learn under the supervision of parents and on his own pace.

However, few people are in favour to continue online learning even after pandemic but in my views, it should be mixture of offline and online learning ( hybrid model). In modern concept of education we talk about transformative learning but without actual classroom interaction it won't be achieved. While online learning focuses on adopting different techniques and approaches for content knowledge and delivery, offline learning will support students social, emotional and physical development.
