How has pandemic changed education system
The year 2020 saw some unexpected numbers across headlines, out of which a notable one is 1.3 billion. That’s the number of learners who were affected by the coronavirus pandemic. While the impact of the pandemic on education was felt across the globe, in a country like India where almost 50 percent of the population is under the age of 25, the closure of educational institutions has had a substantial effect. Over 275 million K-12 students alone were affected by pandemic-related school closures at the height of the Covid-19 lockdown early this year.
However, I have always believed, every crisis brings an opportunity with it. Whatever obstacles we have faced so far, humanity has always come out stronger on the other side. While there is still a lot that needs to be done to restore access to quality learning, for many students, classes have resumed thanks to technology emerging as a great enabler.
This period of change in 2020, that starts from school closures leading to online classes, is something that will stay memorable in the history of our education system. I believe this period where online learning came to the very front of education marks the start of education becoming more holistic for students in our country.

@Mary Moses, I agree with you. It is indeed that pandemic has affected a lot of students around the world. There is a huge adjustment between learners, parents, and educators. Sad to say that numerous learners had to stop due to the crisis we are facing. Especially this online class needs gadgets and connections to be able to attend sessions and doing tasks and homework. However, I believe that this challenge will make us students be stronger and prepare for anything that will come along. And we continue to learn and discover amidst the pandemic
As mentioned above, the pandemic has changed the education system. A lot of adjustments happened. Adjustments include the learning process of the students moreover the teaching procedures and strategies of teachers. In my previous comment, I cited the advantages and disadvantages of online learning.
Since I am not teaching yet, I just researched videos that will help teachers on how to engage or connect with their students. This is a teacher tip on how students can actively participate even in a virtual class. The video is not mine. Credit to the rightful owner. Thank you!

I'm in the same stand when it comes to how the pandemic change the education system. It brings alot of changes and adjustments to education sectors. The students and teachers suffer difficulties adjusting to the modern trend of education. Switchng learning modalities to other platforms is difficult at first. But as this pandemic goes by teachers had already cope up with it and take it as a challenge. Because of it, they open a variety of teaching strategies capable to the learning modalities they follow. It opens opportunities to students to learn more and we can't deny that learning is more progressive when it comes to this kind of modalities such as online and digital base instruction and others.
The Pandemic has brought forth new teaching strategies for both the online and in person environments. For those of us who were accustomed to an online experience, it may have brought to reality our co-dependence on electronics. The reality on online time spent, whether for a noble cause or not, has become a real eye-opener. The video games that some of us cursed, became a stem-cell in our redefining interesting interactive learning. The question became...How can I be creative enough to tap into that world with traditional topics, and spark interest on my side of the video screen.
As a dual in-person/online teacher, creating group interaction beyond the ebook, was a challenge fostered through SAAS tools, but prompted implementation of some traditional tools such as (on paper) BINGO as a learning strategy.
If nothing else, it brought forth recognition into the knowledge gaps of students, that were overlooked in the pre-COVID classroom of tests/grading and memory banks. For so long the strategy was based on textbook succession, chapter reading, rote memorization, while long standing knowledge concepts (particularly in math) were non-existent.
The pandemic also exposed areas where more investment is needed. logistical infrastructure as well as technological training of teachers.
This period was difficult for all education in the world. I agree, that on line learning came in our life and now all tecqniques and methods influence on the students. From my experients, it is a great value for all teachers. We learn new platforms, and our students are not afraid now to communicate with foreign collegues.
