Trained in the fields of Communication Design and Painting in Hong Kong and Italy respectively, I had subsequently worked in non-governmental and academic institutions while maintaining as an art practitioner. I pursued MA Drawing in Britain and further undertook my PhD research in Fine Art (practice and theory), which explores nushu, a dying secret script created and practiced among women in a small region in China. I have since had extensive teaching experience in creative practice and the theoretical side of visual arts and cultural studies programmes in the universities of Hong Kong. Whilst my creative practice looks into the conceptualization of visual language and the aesthetics, teaching takes me on board an innovative, interdisciplinary, integrative and interactive approach with the younger generation, at times the adults, exploring the versatility of the diverse visual cultures. At present I am teaching Visual arts in the Faculty of Education, University of Macau.
