  Hung YaChing is a PhD Student in the department of Taiwanese Literature at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. She graduated her BA in department of Chinese Literature from Providence University. She has an MA in Institute of Art Studies from National Cheng Kung University. Her Life has been the culmination of an intellectual journey that has encompassed such diverse disciplines as Chinese Literature, Taiwaness Literature, Journalism and Art Study. Especially studing Taiweness Literature at National Cheng Kung University help her immerse herself in Taiwanese academic thought, while balancing these concepts by simultaneously reading Western philosophy and Literary Criticism. This multiple approach made her realizes som mutuality among culture. Therefore, she hopes to generate research that measures the effect of culture on human cognition, using her knowledge of Taiwanese history, language and culture. She believes that understanding a clash between different people is the beginning of true understanding of each other, and the true meaning of human nature.
